My first foray into Electric brewing came with the development of my three tier Electric HLT system. The Hot Liquor tank was the only vessel that was electrified in this system. I added a mixer to stir the wort during cooling so I did not have to stand and do it.

This is the over view shot of the system. As you can see the stands were built out of wood and would stay that way until my final system.

The electrical distribution was handled with high voltage light switches in standard boxes.

The scematic includes a Mash Tun heater that I never added to the system.
